Rescheduling an appointment is a straightforward process, and there are two main methods to accomplish this. Here’s a detailed guide to help you reschedule appointments easily:

Method 1: Scheduler View

  1. Open the Appointment:

    • Navigate to the scheduler view and click on the appointment you wish to reschedule.

  2. Select Reschedule:

    • Look for a green button with a downwards arrow in the appointment details. Click this arrow to see the "Reschedule" option.

  3. Confirm Rescheduling:

    • A confirmation message will prompt you to confirm the rescheduling action. Since this cannot be undone, ensure you are ready before selecting “Yes.”

  4. Choose New Time Slot:

    • The scheduler will now have a border, indicating that it is ready for you to select a new time slot. You can navigate through different time periods to find a suitable timeframe.

  5. Confirm and Save:

    • Once you have selected the new timeframe, a standard scheduling modal will appear for you to verify the new appointment details. Confirm the changes and click "Save."

    • The original appointment will be automatically removed, and the new one will be created.

Method 2: Patient Header

  1. Access from Patient Header:

    • Find the patient header, and on the right, locate the patient's next upcoming appointment.

  2. Select Reschedule:

    • Click on the appointment status to reveal the "Reschedule" option.

  3. Follow the Confirmation and Scheduling Steps:

    • Similar to Method 1, confirm the rescheduling, and use the scheduling modal to finalize the new appointment time.

Important Recommendations:

  • Use Reschedule Instead of Cancel:

    • We advise opting for the rescheduling function over cancellation. This choice ensures all appointments, including rescheduled ones, are documented thoroughly, providing a complete history in the patient’s records. This is particularly useful if there’s any confusion about appointment timings.
