This guide explains the process of creating loaner and demo hearing aids and assigning them to patients.
Step 1: Navigate to Clinic Stock
Go to Inventory > Clinic Stock.
Click the New Clinic Stock button.
Search for the inventory item using the Inventory Catalog search list.
Note: Only devices that have been added to yourCatalogand were marked asManaged Stockare able to be selected.
Step 2: Fill Out Device Information
Specify the ear side for each device.
Add the serial number for each device.
Include any additional information like the manufacturer invoice and warranty dates.
Step 3: Indicate Device Type
Use the checkboxes to mark devices as loanable or demo items. You can select both if applicable.
Additional Options in Clinic Stock
After saving changes, you can edit a device by clicking the pencil icon.
Duplicate items by clicking the “+” icon if you have multiple similar devices to check-in.
Step 4: Assign Devices to a Patient
Select a patient and navigate to the Hearing Aids section.
Choose the Loan/Demo Devices option.
Set whether the device is for the left ear, right ear, or binaural fit.
Select the
Typefilter to display all products, loaner products, or demo products.Set a
Return Due Dateif necessary.View selections available from the Clinic Stock.
Note: This list will be determined by theTypethat you selected.
Pre-filled device information will be automatically populated upon selection.
Repeat the process for the right ear for binaural fit.
Add any accessories if needed.
Click Confirm and Create Loan.
Return to Patient Profile
Devices will be marked as “On Loan” with a yellow background.
Loan and Demo icons will appear for quick reference.
Return due-date is displayed.
Update in Clinic Stock
The counter for Loaner and Demo devices updates automatically.
Models provided to patients will no longer be available in the Clinic Stock.
Returning Loan/Demo Devices
When a Loaner or Demo device is ready to be returned, you can select the
⋮icon to the right of the device and then selectReturn Loanas shown in the screenshot below:
This will automatically return the devices to your
Clinic Stock.
