Overview
Learn how to create a Personal Event within the scheduler to prevent scheduling conflicts for providers during personal appointments, such as lunches or out-of-office periods. This guide will focus on setting up a recurring lunch block for a provider.
Steps to Create a Personal Event:
Access the New Appointment Feature:
Click on the “New Appointment” button in the scheduler.
Alternatively, select an existing block within the scheduler.
Open the Modal:
Add Event Details:
Enter a title, such as “Lunch.”
Update the staff member for whom the block is intended.
Select the clinic that the block applies to.
Optional: Choose the option to ensure the block shows in all clinics.
Optional: Select an event type if one is created in your Appointment Types under Settings.
Set Recurrence:
Select the “Is recurring” option.
Define the frequency with which the block will occur (e.g., daily, weekly).
Important: If choosing the “Daily” option, set an end date. Consider setting the end date a year out if the schedule is expected to remain consistent.
Tips:
Modify the recurrence and details of the personal event as needed over time to accommodate changes in the provider’s schedule.
