Prerequisites
Your scanner must be TWAIN-compatible in order to communicate with Suno. If you are unsure whether your scanner supports TWAIN, check your scanner's user manual or the manufacturer's website.
Setting Up Your Scanner
Step 1: Install the Scanning Service
The first time you attempt to scan a document in Suno, a pop-up will appear prompting you to install a required program called Dynamsoft. This program allows Suno to communicate with your scanner.
Click the Download button and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Step 2: Connect to Your Scanner
Once the Dynamsoft service has been installed, Suno should automatically detect your scanner as long as it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
Troubleshooting
My scanner is not showing up
If your scanner does not appear in Suno, verify the following:
Check your network connection. Your scanner and your computer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Confirm your TWAIN drivers are installed. If your scanner is on the correct network but still not appearing, the TWAIN drivers are likely missing from your computer. Visit your scanner manufacturer's website to download and install the appropriate TWAIN drivers, or contact your IT team for assistance.
The Dynamsoft service is not connecting properly
If you have already installed Dynamsoft but are seeing the Download button again, or a message indicating that Suno is having trouble connecting to the service, the installation may need to be refreshed.
To resolve this:
Completely uninstall the Dynamsoft service from your computer. Dynamsoft provides documentation on how to fully remove the service.
Return to Suno and click the Download button to reinstall the service.
If you run into any issues during this process, please contact your IT team for help.
