In this documentation, we'll discuss how to file insurance claims when there are two hearing aids with Binaural Fit CPT Codes.
In your invoice, be sure to add the correct binaural fit CPT code to both hearing aid devices. This will ensure that they will both appear when you are going to file the insurance claim.
Once the invoice is saved, you can click the three dots to the right of the invoice and select
File Insurance Claim.Now you'll see that both CPT codes are listed, but you will only want to submit one of them. In order to correct this, you can deselect one of the CPT code line items by clicking the checkbox to the left of the extra line item. Now this will be removed from the insurance claim when you submit it to
Claim.MD.Next, you'll want to ensure that you submit the full amount for both hearing aids by calculating the cost of both for the remaining CPT code line item that is to be submitted.
Once you have all of this set up you can select
Submit to Claim.MD.
