Patient Adjustments

Learn how to apply a Patient Adjustment to an invoice.

In this documentation, we'll show you how to add a Patient Adjustment to an invoice.

  1. Locate the invoice that requires a patient adjustment and select the three dots to the right of the invoice.

  2. Select Patient Adjustment from the dropdown menu.

  3. Specify the Adjustment Amount and confirm the Date of Adjustment (this defaults to the current date).

  4. Optional: Select a Type for the adjustment, such as:

    • Bad Debt

    • Courtesy

    • Other, etc.

  5. Provide a Description explaining why the patient is receiving the adjustment.

  6. Optional: Apply the adjustment to a specific line item if needed.

  7. Once everything has been completed, select the Finished button in order to apply the adjustment to the invoice.

Now, you'll be able to see the adjustment listed under the Adjustments tab when reviewing the invoice.
